How to follow gratitude

What If I tell you that there is only one thing which can get you all of these?

It’s Gratitude.

What is Gratitude

A well thought out “Thank You” instead of a half-hearted “Thanks” often gives people more happiness than any other time. These are the moment you need to reflect on and many times these get you a feeling of “Gratitude”.

Gratitude is an expression of being thankful and appreciating others. Gratitude is an emotion which is similar to the appreciation that most people already know about. Gratitude plays an important role in everyone’s life, knowingly or unknowingly.

“If you are really thankful, what do you do? You share.”

Gratitude works on a very simple concept. If you are feeling good about something, you let others know why you are feeling good about it and then wait and watch, how it will change your life.

How it happened to me

I still remember the time when I first encountered (June 2015) about gratitude from a close friend of mine.

My friend (She) messaged me one day and told me that “I am thankful to you because you helped with the project”. Next week, she again messaged me saying that “I am grateful to have you in my life”. Following to that, after about few days, she again messaged saying “These are some of those important things you have told me in the last 2 years and because of this my life has changed forever now and I am very grateful and thankful to you”.

I understood there is something wrong. I mean you can remember what things others have told you for the last week/month. But 2 years is definitely a good time to do catchup memory exercise. So I immediately asked her what is going on and why is she behaving like that?

She replied, “I have started the following gratitude and it’s damn amazing”.

“I’m grateful for every moment in life.”

And that day changed my life too. I started doing research about everything on it including - what is gratitude all about, how gratitude works, how gratitude can change life of others, benefits of following gratitude, and how can I start practicing gratitude.
