How to be happy when you are unhappy
Being happy is the ultimate goal of anyone’s life. Afterall who doesn’t want to be happy in life?
The best way to be more productive in life is by just being happy all the time. Happy people generally tend to accomplish more than the rest of the crowd. Being happy often means - having satisfaction, contentment, a feeling of joy, getting to know the purpose of your life and so on.
People often ask me how do I be happy all the time, how can I boost my happiness, how do I be happy even when i am unhappy.
So I have come up with tons of things you can do to make yourself happy. If you follow some of these, you are more likely to increase your personal happiness:
Step Back and think over
Whenever I am upset, sad or unhappy about something, I try to stop and reflect on what has happen and how can I overcome this.
Sharing is caring
Most people keep their feelings to themselves. However, I have learnt that the more you share your feelings with others (someone whom you can trust and have fair understanding about you), then it becomes a lot more easier.
Listen to Music
Music heals pain and puts you in a better mood. It makes you feel less lonely and get you rid of stress and unhappiness.
Play with pets
Although, I haven’t for a very long time. But I have heard people saying, they always choose to play with pets when they are unhappy and this gets them out of the unhappy state.
Go for a walk
Especially if you are doing this on a scenic location, then walking would help you to clear negative energy from your head.
Drink healthy
Not sure how, but people suggest their favorite drink like chocolate shake or orange juice helps them to refresh their mood.
Take a nap
Something all you require is a good sleep which can help you forget all the bad things happened.
Fun activity
Planning for a fun activity itself gives me so much of excitement. Imagine, what if we are able to go for an activity everytime we are unhappy.
Old Memories
One of the best ways I have found is by looking into my old photographs which includes special moments like meeting someone for the first time, spending time with your family on a vacation, laughing out loud with your friends, and so on.
Hug someone
Hugs are such an easy way to express your love to someone without even having to say a word. Ofcourse, they should be okay to get your hug :P
Funny Videos/Movies/Shows
We are living in the world of internet where everything we want is online. Go ahead and watch some of the most funniest movies or shows.
Cry
Is it necessary? It is for sure. If you don’t cry, you will always keep things in your mind, therefore it is better to cry and flush all the negativity out.
Following Gratitude
Cultivating the habit of gratitude has helped to overcome a great amount of unhappiness. Everyday when I look back, I am so happy with the progress I have made in life.
Connect with someone
Oh yes. Connecting with someone special and talking to them can not just decreases unhappy state of mind, but can also increases your happiness and ultimately can leave you in a good mindset for the next few days.
Let Go
