--> What did I do wrong?
--> What went really wrong?
--> What did the mistake teach me?
--> How I am grateful to this mistake?
--> What can I learn from it?
--> Have I done this same mistake in the past?
Once you ask yourself the above questions, you will be able to get to know more about the mistake and yourself.
Exploring what went wrong
The only way to learn from your mistakes is to explore and find out what went wrong and how it can potentially change everything.
Ask yourself following questions:
--> What did I do wrong?
--> Why did this happen?
--> How can the mistake be avoided?
--> What can I learn from it?
Spend some time on this activity, as it is extremely important to know what is that went wrong and how you can learn from it.
Make a Plan of Action
Now that you have a fair understand of what was the mistake all about and where did it go wrong, make a plan of action of what you can do to rectify it and how to avoid this in future.
Ask yourself following questions:
--> How would have somebody else approached on this?
--> What could I have done differently?
--> How can I avoid to make the same mistake again?
Take time to plan this action as it would be very helpful to you when you are likely to perform the same mistake again.
Identify Skills/Resources
The last step is to find out what skills do you require to not perform the same mistakes again. We really need to move forward in future and how we could possible avoid it without making the same mistake again.
Ask yourself following questions:
--> What skills do I require to not commit the same mistake again?
--> Do I require help from someone external to guide me?
Once you are able to figure out skills you require, it becomes a lot more easier to tackle mistakes in future.
Once you are able to learn from your mistakes, do spend some time on what are the powerful lessons mistakes can teach us.
